Manjit Singh

Principal Lawyer

Manjit's practice focuses primarily on commercial, civil and estate litigation, both international and domestic.  He has also expanded his practice to include mediation and arbitration services, calling on his extensive litigation experience earned over a decade of practice.

Manjit has successfully appeared on behalf of clients at the Small Claims Court (Ontario), Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), Court of Appeal (Ontario) and the Federal Court of Canada. He has won trials at both the Small Claims Court (Ontario) and Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), has won appeals at both the Court of Appeal (Ontario) and the Federal Court of Canada, and has consulted on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Manjit received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto with a Conferred Specialization in International, Comparative and Transnational Law. He is called to both the Ontario bar in Canada and the California bar in the United States.

Manjit volunteers with and donates to a number of charities, including by providing Pro Bono services, that are close to his heart.  Outside of law, Manjit is an avid world traveler, voracious reader and sports enthusiast.  Manjit is also passionate about culture and the arts.

Julia A. Toso

Lawyer (Of Counsel)

Julia completed her undergraduate degree from York University where she received an Entrance Scholarship. She attended the University of Western Ontario where she earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a concentration in business law. While attending law school, she served as an Executive Editor of the Canada U.S. Law Journal.

Julia has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) offered by the Canadian Securities Institute.

Julia began her legal career as an associate at a boutique law firm, where she practised primarily in the areas of civil litigation and business law. She subsequently joined an in-house legal team at a major Canadian Manufacturer within the Consumer Packaged Good (CPG) industry.  
 

Julia works diligently to provide her clients with reliable and professional legal services that they can count on.

Ayla Ahyoung Kim

Lawyer (Of Counsel)

Ayla attended the University of Toronto with various scholarships and graduated with high distinction. Thereafter, she obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Queen's University.

Upon completion of her articles at a major insurance company, Ayla worked at a boutique litigation firm where she held carriage of numerous client files and frequently attended at examinations for discoveries, motions, mediations and prehearing conferences. Subsequently, Ayla worked as an in-house counsel at a major Canadian manufacturing company where she focused mainly on corporate and commercial matters.

Ayla is fluent in written and spoken Korean and is able to assist clients in Korean. She is attentive to her clients' needs and strives to provide them with efficient and professional legal services.

Carolina Maass

Lawyer (Junior Counsel)

Carolina earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.), cum laude, from the University of Ottawa in the French Common Law Program. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Political Science, cum laude, and was consistently recognized on the Dean’s Honour List.

Carolina is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and can assist clients seamlessly in all three languages.

Carolina brings strong trial experience to her practice. She began her career at a leading litigation boutique where she was a member of the trial team in a 100+ day constitutional law proceeding. In that role, she assisted in preparing key witnesses for examination and cross-examination, managed extensive evidentiary records and contributed to written advocacy on complex public law issues. Her experience spans constitutional, administrative and Aboriginal law matters, giving her a disciplined and analytical approach to litigation strategy.

Carolina has also represented and advised clients through an Indigenous community legal clinic, where she handled sensitive and multifaceted legal matters. This experience sharpened her advocacy skills and reinforced her commitment to thoughtful, client-centered representation.

Outside of her work, Carolina enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her family and friends.

Monique Redhead

Office Manager

Monique brings over 10+ years of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Accounting. With a BSc Honours in Business and a Masters in Business Communication,  Monique regularly finds herself drawing on her education in business and accounting in her role as Office Manager.

As Office Manager, Monique is responsible for all office procedures, using her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment, as well as the firm’s marketing.

In her spare time Monique embraces fitness and wellness: she's a mid-distance running ambassador for ASICS Canada, a Yoga ambassador for B Yoga Canada and loves playing a variety of sports.
